“Loose Tooth”

Logline: When Lolo finds her 1st loose tooth, literally personified as a (stop motion) toothy gremlin, she must figure out way to get rid of it or else suffer dental tormenting.

I wrote this script with a vision to showcase a bit of funny Korean lore about baby teeth that also stars my sweet dad and his eccentric methods. For the longest time, he had me convinced I had to throw my baby teeth on the roof to get straight teeth. It baffled me when classmates talked about the tooth fairy. Didn’t everyone throw teeth on the roof? Now, I wonder whatever happened to those baby teeth...

“Crushed In Space”

Haiku: The Asteroid Belt // An unrequited romance // They are coworkers.
Logline: CJ is ready to tackle her new design job and make a name for herself but when she finds out she’ll be working with an old crush, Marcus, CJ must grapple with her explosive emotions or else risk her professional career.

After taking a gap year during my dad’s cancer treatment (who’s now fully healthy!), I went back to school to make my thesis film. At the time, I felt compelled to write a story about the struggles of post-grad life, which may or may not have been based on some real life experiences…

“Aquanauts”

Logline: Fisher and Berge, 2 environmental aquanauts clean up toxic waste at the bottom of the sea floor and discover the treasures of friendship.

I grew up loving nature and doing tons of community service as a kid. I enjoyed being apart of the Youth Action Team (YAT), the Environmental Club and a family that loves camping. Honestly, if I wasn’t an artist, I probably would be working as park ranger on a State or National Park. I wanted to translate some of that love into a short aaaand draw some cool underwater monsters.
